On Wednesday 10th April, Dani was invested as a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, or MBE for short! Dani received her honour from Her Majesty the Queen at Windsor Castle.
After the ceremony Dani said, ”This has been absolutely amazing for me, it’s all happened so quickly. British cycling has got such a great set-up and some fantastic staff, we train really hard and have got the best people supporting us. My family have been a major part of that as well, they’ve supported me through my whole career – I haven’t been easy to live with. It’s really special today, not something I expected – it’s a bonus really.”
